The story of WattUp started with a team of dedicated solar enthusiasts who were driven to revolutionize solar energy efficiency. This vision became apparent when them encountered a problem firsthand just before covid.
Due to being in the neighborhood of a cement factory, our solar panels were consistently covered with dust and cement particles, leading to a decrease in energy production.
Motivated by this challenge, they set out to devise a solution that not only kept the panels spotless but also tackled cement issues along with removing stubborn dirt, bird droppings, and grime, leading to significantly increased energy output efficiency, sometimes by double-digit percentages.
Combining our engineering expertise and unwavering determination, We developed the WattUp Solar Panel Cleaning Solution – an innovative, eco-friendly, and highly effective product. Our mission was clear: to revolutionize the way solar plants harnessed the sun’s power and contribute to a more sustainable future.
With humble beginnings and a single solar plant of 1 MW capacity installed in April 2017, in the proximity of new cement factories with the capacity to generate 4700 units per day, our team of visionaries embarked on a challenging journey.
Recognizing the untapped potential in solar panel maintenance, we discovered that regular cleaning and upkeep were often overlooked, leading to a decline in power generation. Undeterred, we remained committed to our mission of enhancing the energy output efficiency of solar plants through innovative cleaning solutions and cutting-edge research.
From 2017 to 2020, unit generation dropped down to 1400 units per day. However, in June 2021, the average unit generation revived to 3900 to 4100 units per day with WattUpTM cleaning.
